記述
Poly Styrene was frontwoman for the Punk Rock Band X-Ray Spex, who died from Breast Cancer in 2011. Genetic Engineering is from X-Ray Spex's classic punk rock album Germfree Adolescents. Polyfest is the annual celebration of the late and great Poly Styrene. The event is a benefit for the Rock and Roll Rescue and anybody who is important in the music business will be performing. This year Sobel Nation's Steve Etherington, Julie Valentine (Happy Monday), Toto Coelo, Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot (Curiosity Killed The Cat), Melanie Williams, Angie Brown and Mike Bennett will be performing and part of the festivities. Steve Etherington was given the honor of this year of having the theme song of Polyfest, which is Poly's signature song 'Genetic Engineering.' Remixes are by Jose Jimenez and E39.
