Dance Now
DESCRIPTION
Back in the day, there was no distinction between Italo, acid, and house. When Beat Band unleashed their soulful Italo house banger “Dance Now” onto the dancefloors in 1991, even rap parts in dance tracks were not uncommon. Though hip house has proven to be one of the most revival-resistant club genres, Harry Nipples and jo.desaga deliver a contemporary twist. With driving progressive house grooves, acid synths, and disco string arrangements, the original oldschool house flair of “Dance Now” morphs into a euphoric piano house anthem, bridging the gap between 90s rave nostalgia and the trance-affiliated house sound of today. Harry Nipples’ Italo disco-inspired DJ sets blend seamlessly with jo.desaga’s percussive drum productions, punchy basslines, and trancy synth riffs. For their first release on ZYX Records, Berlin-based DJ Harry Nipples and producer jo.desaga team up to celebrate the past and present of acid house with two versions of „Dance Now“.
