THE STORY BEHIND "SOUL RIVER" As a producer/songwriter team, Martin Aulkjær Ottesen aka Funkstar De Luxe and Adrian Zag Zagoritis have worked together on projects charting with several different releases in dozens of European countries. With strong reps on the dance scene, one day they decided on a different direction with a project focused on a more organic musical sound and style. And so they wrote and produced the enigmatic, rootsy and soulful song Soul River. With its yearning, thoughtful lyric and melody, Adrian called up longtime friend, singer and musical partner, Mike DAbo, to have him featured on the record. Mikes strong vocals raise the song up high. SOUL RIVER is a powerful and memorable track, a worthy testament to their collaboration.
