BESCHREIBUNG
B.G. The Prince OF Rap's real name is Bernard Greene, born in Washington DC and like so many artists before him, the U.S. Army brought him to Europe. After the Army, he began to perform as singer and dancer in the Frankfurter Dance Scene in Germany. His first official single in 1990 was "Rap to the World", followed by "Give Me The Music" and "Take Control Of The Party". His first album was titled "The Power Of Rhythm" (1991). His biggest success in the USA came in 1991 when he reached N1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play Chart with his 4th single "This Beat Is Hot". The single made it to #72 on the Hot 100 and #44 on the Hot Black Singles Chart. "Take Control Of the Party" repeated it by reaching #2 on the Dance Chart the following year. After this huge success in the States he was invited to support the tour of Marky Mark. In 1994 he did big hits with "Can We Get Enough", "The Colour Of My Dreams" and "Can't Love You" from the second album entitled "The Time Is Now".
