‘Hallelujah’ is a dreamy, meditative balance between inner darkness and peace. The song initially started as a jam session, spiralled into a big song with mainstream quality for commercial success. The music video, directed by Christina herself, underlines the struggle to unite different parts of one’s personality. Christina plays two characters in the music video; a country girl who can handle the ‘lemon-y’ emotions and a city girl who cannot. Nature lends the country girl this superpower.
