The first demo of ”If I Was Holding You” was written on a cold Swedish autumn day in a Studio in Malmö, Sweden. Andreas Stone instantly felt that the song meant a lot to him and reached out to his close friend Marty Dodson (residing in Nashville, Usa). Marty is very successful in the country scene. Andreas asked if Marty wanted to participate in writing the song with him. Marty was thrilled about the idea and also brought in Marti Lynn Dodson (not related) and together ”If I Was Holding You” was created. The song is a sentimental and heartfelt country song about a love you wish you had. A love that is recognized as friendship by the unknowing other part. The song embraces both traditional and modern elements. Andreas’s pop voice makes it a great blend between pop and country music. The song makes you think of acts like Rascal Flatts, Bryan White, Lonestar, to name a few.
